Join Seneca Mechanical's installation team working on commercial and industrial mechanical systems. This role focuses on laying out, assembling, and installing piping, fittings, valves, and supports from project drawings and field measurements.
You will coordinate with the field supervisor and other trades, check your work for alignment and quality, and help prepare completed systems for testing and startup. Careful workmanship, safe work practices, and clear communication are central to the role.
What you will do
- Read mechanical drawings and use field measurements to plan piping layouts
- Measure, cut, prepare, and assemble pipe, fittings, and valves using the methods specified for each project
- Install hangers, supports, and piping connections to mechanical equipment
- Check alignment, clearances, and installation quality throughout the work
- Assist with system testing, leak checks, and preparation for startup under the field supervisor's direction
- Coordinate with other trades and report material needs or installation conflicts
- Follow site safety procedures and keep tools, materials, and work areas organized
What we are looking for

- Ability to read mechanical drawings and take accurate measurements

- Safe use of hand and power tools appropriate to the assigned work
