Support Seneca Mechanical's crews with materials, jobsite preparation, and installation assistance. Construction or mechanical experience is preferred, but not required.

Join Seneca Mechanical as a helper supporting commercial and industrial mechanical work. You will assist field and shop crews with preparing work areas, organizing tools and materials, and completing assigned tasks under the direction of experienced team members.

Construction, HVAC, piping, ductwork, or fabrication experience would be helpful, but it is not required. We welcome applicants who show up reliably, follow instructions, work safely, and want to learn the trade.

What you will do

  • Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after assigned tasks
  • Stage, organize, and move tools and materials using safe handling methods
  • Assist pipe fitters, duct installers, welders, and other crew members as directed
  • Help with measuring, assembly, and installation tasks under supervision
  • Use hand and power tools only as instructed and within demonstrated ability
  • Report material shortages, damaged tools, and jobsite hazards to the supervisor
  • Follow site safety procedures and communicate clearly with the crew

What we are looking for

  • Previous construction, HVAC, piping, ductwork, or fabrication experience preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and follow supervisor instructions
  • Commitment to safe work practices and appropriate protective equipment
  • Dependable attendance and a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to keep tools, materials, and work areas organized
